The macro project

Week 5 post

A flower plant outside our house waiting to bloom in the spring.

This is a what I think they call a Christmas Cactus which is suppose to bloom flowers but rarely does.

  1. I was sure I already left comments... oh well... here again....

Good set, Dan... the thing about working in close like this is that it forces a simpler and usually stronger composition. Extraneous elements are eliminated and you get to focus on form more easily. As always, the quality of light is probably the most important factor though... that's where your daughters hamster and her eye are not as strong as the light is not that interesting.. ditto the goldfish. Something simple like using a flashlight might have kicked them up a bit. I do like the sparkle on the icicles.
