These shots were taken of my boyfriend and my dog in a number of different windows as well as times of day. I chose to keep most of them in black and white because I found them to be more powerful and intriguing that way. I also adjusted the contrast and levels to give a more dramatic feel as well as bring out the highlights and shadows.
Hi Aura, Those are great portraits. Was the one with the dog a planned one or was it just happen to catch it at the moment? I tried to get a photo of my dog but she would not cooperate.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dan, The photo of my dog was definitely set up. He naturally loves to look out the window, but I had to send my boyfriend outside to get his attention. It takes some extra time and patience to work with a dog, but if you try and catch them doing something they would otherwise do on there own it helps. Oh yes and snacks, lots of snacks.
ReplyDeleteWonderful series Aura! Excellent editing and perfect set up. I love your story about how you got your pup to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
