These shots were taken of my boyfriend and my dog in a number of different windows as well as times of day. I chose to keep most of them in black and white because I found them to be more powerful and intriguing that way. I also adjusted the contrast and levels to give a more dramatic feel as well as bring out the highlights and shadows.

Virtual photography trip week 7
This was a trip to Russia. It shows a good reflection on the water of the building, hill, tall grass and what I think is a boat house.
This is a trip to New York City outside of a high rise building capturing the reflection of the city from the window.
In the London link, I happen to stumble upon a bunch of playing balls in a section of a high rise building. I couldn't understand how they had gotten there but after looking further I had discovered a playing court for kids at the very top of this building where the balls have gone over.
Also in London, I found this unique shaped building which curves around.
This photo is in the mountains of Utah. I thought the shapes of the rocks were neat.
Here is a painting in the Sistine Chapel. This was tricky to edit in the Photoshop as it was angled and I had to try and straighten it out.
Here is a trip to UAE Dubai. I thought that the buildings shape and colors were unique.
Also in Dubai is this picture capturing the streaks from jet airplanes and the sun shining in the Blue sky.
Another photo in London capturing the unique shapes on the building with many windows.
Finally, this picture in London captures the changing colors from the change of the season.

The Digital Portrait
This is my daughter in front of her window with the blinds down and light coming through while open.
Another photo of my daughter this time in a different window. Felt bad for her as she was feeling under the weather but she was a big trooper helping me out by posing for me.
This time she took another pose. I get the feeling she was thinking about wanting to go outside sled riding.
This one compared to the first photo has a little softer lighting and the blind was up.
Here she looks like she is deep in thought.
Brother and sister staring out the window. I thought the light was too much on my daughter so I tried to soften that up on the next photo. (Before)
This was after I tried to adjust with the Photoshop. Not sure if I edited the photo right but I gave it my best shot. (After)
My son taking a pose by the window.
Short reaction on the NPR Alfred Sieglitz and Georgia O'Keefe story was that both of these people had a passion for art. Both whom lived so far apart and had a big difference in age. The passion for each other drew them together in marriage but surprisingly later as they grew older they became apart.

Plenty of Icicles
I slapped a +1 close up filter on a test lens that was given to me and saw this out my bedroom window... feels like cheating to shoot from the warmth and comfort of inside on such a frigid day. Not so though... Perception still works even indoors... but it is still all about light, first and foremost.
Exposure was 1/600th at f 5.6, ISO 200

Macro - Aura Martinez

This first shot was taken of bubbles on a black table that I blew using a straw and vapor to create an interesting frosted appearance. |
For this shot of the strawberry I was trying to capture the pattern of the seeds and the intricate way they conform to the overall shape.
This shot was taken of my boyfriend's eye while he was looking into a fireplace. I liked how you can see the fire in his eye.
I took this shot of some extremely small spools of thread trying to capture the detail.
The weather has been really hard to work around lately, but I was able to take this last shot of an ice hanging by a stream in the park where I walk my dog.
Hudson River Valley & Balanced Rock
Balanced Rock is located in North Salem,NY. It is a very large rock situated on top of smaller rocks. Some believe the rock landed there as a coincidence. Others believe it is a Celtic monument to the dead. Balanced Rock is considered to be a "Sacred Site".
