Hello Everyone! My is Aura Martinez and I'm a psychology major here at Albertus. This is my final class before I graduate and I'm extremely glad to be ending on such a creative note. I have always been interested in learning how to take and perfect a photograph so that it can look as "professional" as possible. I'm hoping that this class will allow me to push myself both creatively and technically when it comes to getting that perfect shot. For my creative self portrait I decided to use my skills with makeup to create interest in the shot. I positioned myself in front of a mirror to enhance the two-faced look I was trying to achieve. I also used a candle at dusk to illuminate my face and give it a glow. Hopefully after taking this class I will be able to better understand what makes a picture great and how I can get there.
Oh my goodness.. what an incredible photograph...you a great job in conceptualizing then realizing this vision you had. Working to create this look through the choice of light , the candle, the mirror, the dark clothing, the make up but especially the mirror all contribute to its success....Great start!
