Here I
-straightened the horizon line and made it parallel to the frame edge.
-Darkened the sky
-Raised the Contrast of the foreground using levels
-Color balanced the excess blue and cyan, using "Color Balance", "ctrl-B"
-Sharpened image using Filter>Smart Sharpen

I think the darker sky adds to the effect of distinguishing the season.
